DAVE WORKMAN, Senior Pastor

Dave has served as a senior pastor at Grace for 36 years. During that time, he has led numerous transformational initiatives, is a gifted and inspired teacher, and shepherds more than 700 Christ-followers and salvation seekers.

Born near Pasadena, California, he spent the bulk of his childhood on the family farm in Fallon, Nevada. While a young student at the University of Nevada, Reno, Dave acknowledged God’s call on his life. A few years later, he experienced a second call from God to become a pastor and moved his young family to the Midwest where he studied at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa, and then at Grace Theological Seminary (GTS) in Winona Lake, Indiana, where he earned a Master of Divinity degree.

Dave and his wife, Louise, reside in Chico. They have two grown children and five grandchildren.

 

BRYAN MEYERS, Senior Pastor

Bryan is a seasoned pastor and church planter with a passion for creating vibrant communities of men, women, and children who truly live out their identity as dedicated followers of Jesus Christ. Joining the Grace ministry staff in 2012, he serves as one of our two senior pastors and oversees our large network of Missional Communities and teaches regularly during Sunday services.

Bryan’s ministry experience includes more than 10 years of service in youth ministry and tenures as both associate pastor at Hope Community Church in Reno, Nevada and lead pastor at The Journey church in Lehi, Utah. In preparation for answering God’s call to ministry, he completed a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry from Hope International University in Fullerton, California and a Masters in Divinity from Liberty Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Bryan and his wife, Missy, have three daughters and regularly open their home to international exchange students. They are currently completing the adoption process that will bring their fourth daughter home to Chico from Haiti.

DEE WILLS – Adult Ministries, Local Mission

Passionate about showing and sharing God’s love in practical and tangible ways, Dee serves as Grace’s liaison to organizations throughout the community who serve the poor and the suffering. She joined the Grace ministry staff in 2012 after retiring from a 30-year career as an administrator in both private and publicly funded non-profit organizations. Focusing her time at Grace on mobilizing the congregation to demonstrate the love of Jesus within the community, Dee’s responsibilities also include internal and external communications and ministries specific to women.

Preparation for her work at Grace includes study in the areas of both business and ministry. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Simpson University, an MBA from Chico State University, a post-graduate certificate in educational management from Harvard University, and a Masters certificate in Theological and Biblical Studies from Western Seminary.
Dee and her husband, Rich, have two children and six grandchildren.

BRAD EGGEN, Worship and Arts Pastor

Brad combines his love for music with an artful use of technology to produce a fresh expression of contemporary worship. A gifted musician, Brad is most at home behind an acoustic or electric guitar and has played a variety of other instruments over the years. Born and raised in Northern California, Brad made his way to Chico in 1999 to attend California State University, Chico (CSU, Chico) where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and gained exposure to a variety of technology platforms and applications.

While still a student at CSU, Chico, Brad began attending Grace and was soon serving as a small group leader, worship team instrumentalist, and live sound technician. In early 2007, Brad was asked to join the staff of Grace to lead the worship and arts ministries. Since then, he has combined his love of music, his aptitude for integrating technology with live music and visuals, and his ability to lead a talented team of volunteers to create an energetic and inspirational worship environment at Grace that draws people close to God.

Brad and his wife, Jessica, have two children.

 

RUSS STREET, Student Ministries Pastor

Passionate about helping students find their identity and purpose in Jesus Christ, Russ joined the Grace staff in 2016, leveraging his own experience as a young man growing up in Dallas County Texas where members of his local church shaped his understanding of the Gospel and served as role models for the pastor he was to become.

In preparation for his ministry work, Russ attended college at West Texas A&M University and University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas (go Razorbacks!), where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English. He went on to study at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Kansas where he served as the student pastor at Journey Covenant Church. While there, he was also actively involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes where he ministered to athletes and coaches, a mission focus he continues today as part of his work at Grace.

Russ and his wife, Kelly, have four children; daughters Reagan and Juliette, son Lincoln, and baby Marzee, who was born shortly after Russ joined the Grace staff.  

 

ED KRZYZEK, Missional Community Associate

Ed joined the Grace staff in 2014. He serves on the Grace teaching team, provides one-on-one Christian counseling, and serves as the Life on Life Coach for Grace's network of Missional Communities.

 

Ed and his family first attended services at Grace in 2012 on Easter Sunday. Over the next year, the Pastoral staff of Grace observed his love for Jesus and his ability to lead others into full devotion to Christ. In 2013, he was invited to deliver a Good Friday message to the church and, since then, has completed a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from California State University, Chico. 

Ed and his wife Jeanette have two children.

BEV LANDERS, Children’s Ministry Director

As the director of children’s programs, Bev combines her passion for both teaching and children. Providing an engaging space for kids to come to know Jesus is a ministry she has spent the last 35 years preparing to lead. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and a Master’s Degree in Education, both from California State University, Chico (CSU, Chico) and has had experience teaching for many years at schools within the Chico Unified School District and at Chico Christian School. She spent four years as an educational consultant, training teachers in over 300 school districts in northern California, Alaska, and in U.S. Department of Defense schools in Germany, and has served as the first principal of Chico Country Day School and as the principal of Chico Christian School. In addition to her role at Grace, she is a lecturer for the School of Education at CSU, Chico and supervises student teachers throughout the Chico area.

Together, she and her husband Dennis have five children and thirteen grandchildren.

DAN BEADLE, Director of Operations

A tireless and careful steward of church resources, Dan provides primary oversight for Grace facilities and finances. A former science teacher with 35 years of experience in high school and college classrooms, Dan has been a Grace member since 1997. Since then, Dan has served in many capacities, including; small group leader, Pastor’s Prayer Team member, Management Team member, and Elder. In addition to being a current Elder, Dan recently provided oversight for several large capital projects that resulted in a completely renovated Children’s Center and Student Center, and the construction of a 1,500 sq. ft. Worship Center lobby addition.

Dan and his wife, Linda, have raised three children of their own and 20 foster children.

DALLAS ABERNATHY, Student Ministries Associate

 Dallas is a Chico native and has been working with youth since he was 18 years old, first in the Extended Day Care (EDC) Program at Chico Christian School and then at the Salvation Army Camp in Calabasas, CA where he served first as a counselor, then as a program member, and finally as a director. Playing a vital role in Grace’s ministry to students, Dallas has the unique ability to relate to youth of all ages, matching their energy and enthusiasm beat for beat while delivering Gospel messages to students with compassion and empathy.

SHERRIE WOOD, Administrative Assistant

When Sherrie joined the Grace staff in 1997, she brought with her more than 25 years professional experience and a sweet spirit that makes anyone who enters the Grace office feel instantly at home. Serving as the administrative assistant to the Senior Pastor, Sherrie also provides primary support for individual ministry staff members and coordinates use of the Grace facilities. Before accepting her position at Grace, Sherrie served as the registrar, veterans coordinator, and immigration officer for Trinity Life Bible College in Sacramento, Ca. Prior to that she held administrative assistant positions at Butte College and in corporate settings in the real estate and technology fields.    

She and her husband, Bill, have two children and four grandchildren.

 

JEN ROBERTS, Bookkeeper

Jen joined the Grace staff in September 2017, bringing with her a wealth of experience in the areas of accounting and event planning. She holds primary responsibility for all bookkeeping functions at Grace and provides logistical support for Grace ministries. Spending her youth in California’s Bay Area, Jen attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration. Since then, she has held positions with a variety of non-profit and for profit businesses, including the Muscular Dystrophy Association and several local firms.    

Jen has lived in Chico with her two children since 2013.
